Right level is important to improve your skills1. Beginners: Learn to correspond at simple every day situations.

After completing the first level, students are capable of expressing themselves in the following situations:

orally, using simple and structured speech that allows everyday communication.

in writing, while only been taught at the present tense, students are capable of forming sentences using nouns, adjectives, personal pronouns, demonstrative, possessive and a basic vocabulary in the singular and plural number.


2. Intermediate I *: Able to Communicate on familiar topics. Can produce simple connected text in their areas of interest.

At completing this second level, students of the Greek language are capable of expressing themselves in the following situations:

orally, they can use a speech developed enough on a range of topics ranging beyond everyday life.

in writing, they can express themselves in the past, future, subjunctive, imperative and continuous tenses. Students are now capable of using hypothetical terms. They have come in contact with more specialized categories of nouns and adjectives. At this level a distinction can be made between the different degrees of comparison as well as constructing sentences using wide vocabulary.


3. Intermediate II **: Can gasp the main ideas of abstract complex text. Students of this level can conduct an in depth and technical discussion regarding their field of specialization. Interaction with native speakers is now an easy stress free task.

At completing this third level, students of the Greek language are capable of expressing themselves in the following situations:

orally, they can understand the main ideas of concrete and abstract topics in a complex text, including technical discussions in their speciality. They are also in a position to interact in a degree of comfort with native speakers.

in writing, they can use all-tenses active or passive, incorporate a more varied vocabulary and refine their knowledge of nouns, adjectives, pronouns and irregular phrase connectors.


4. Advanced ***: Can understand a wide range of long and complex texts, speak fluently and use language effectively for social and professional purposes.

At completing this fourth level, students of the Greek language are capable of expressing themselves in the following situations:

at both spoken and written language students are now capable of approaching a variety of topics such as: nowadays culture and society in comparison with that of ancient Greece, different habits and customs, the Greek diaspora, the country's education system, bureaucracy, ecology and many others.


5. Post Advanced ****: Addressing sociolinguistic topics in depth. Approach of Greek literature

Teaching Material: news articles (politics, society, economy, traditions) and literature (19th and 20th centuries)

The fifth level of learning the Greek language is designed to organize major thematical units on various topics of interest (e.g. history, language, economics, politics , archeology, sociology, etc..) that highlight our students’ achievements. We encourage them to use their knowledge by discussing and practicing creative writing as well as opening new perspectives with an enrichment of their vocabulary. Compact grammar chapters are incorporated in order to synthesize all that has already been explained and practiced with the illustration of a much higher number of elements that correspond to different phenomena (host of new verbs, nouns ...).

* At completion of Level 2 and after undergoing an intense preparation class students are entitled to participate in an exam organized by the Greek Ministry of Education to acquire the Certificate of Knowledge of the Greek Language A2 level.

** At completion of Level 3 and after undergoing an intense preparation class students are entitled to participate in an exam organized by the Greek Ministry of Education to acquire the Certificate of Knowledge of the Greek Language B1 level.

*** At completion of Level 4 and after undergoing an intense preparation class students are entitled to participate in an exam organized by the Greek Ministry of Education to acquire the Certificate of Knowledge of the Greek Language B2 level.

**** At completion of Level 5 and after undergoing an intense preparation class students are entitled to participate in an exam organized by the Greek Ministry of Education to acquire the Certificate of Knowledge of the Greek Language C1 level or even C2 level.
